Pigeon John offers this free download, “Before We’re Gone” from his upcoming 10/12 release, Dragon Slayer.

mp3:”Before We’re Gone” | Free Download

“Before We’re Gone” represents the very exciting and new sonic territory that Pigeon John explores throughout Dragon Slayer. Dragon Slayer houses the signature Pigeon John humor and witty rhymes, with a bit more rock and pop presence. With the aid of General Elektriks’ Hervé Salters, Pigeon John produced the whole record, including, for the first time, recording and chopping up his own instrumentation rather than just flipping samples and banging on an MPC. Quannum Projects is set to release Pigeon John’s new album Dragon Slayer on October 12, 2010, the follow up to critically acclaimed Pigeon John…And The Summertime Pool Party.

Pigeon John kicks off his national tour with DJ Abilities on September 30th.  DJ Abilities will be performing his own set as well as mashing it up on stage as Pigeon John’s DJ. Experience the greatness live…

Category: Blog, New Releases, On Tour · 0

Buckcherry’s fifth studio album, ALL NIGHT LONG, their first since the band’s move back to Top Independent Rock label Eleven Seven Music, has debuted at #10 on the Top Billboard Top 200 Album chart and was the #1 Rock debut.  ALL NIGHT LONG is winning rave reviews from fans and critics alike…The New York Post called the album “A fun rock n’ roll tribute to hedonism”, while Classic Rock said, “It’s about a band playing to its instincts and leaving you with the promise that the winning streak ain’t no fluke.”  Kerrang added, “The party is back on” and Spin dubbed Buckcherry, “Fist-pumping anthem-makers.”

The band continues their Top 10 success worldwide as they debuted at #7 on the overall chart in Canada (their highest chart position to date there) and scored their first Top 10 chart positions in the UK at #6 on the Independent Albums and #5 on the Rock and Metal charts, respectively.

The band will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight on ABC at 12:05am ET/PT

Buckcherry is currently on the road playing select tour dates and will gear up for an extensive North American tour supporting Nickelback beginning September 14th in Nashville, TN at the Bridgestone Arena.  Please see below for a full list of Buckcherry tour dates.  In their more than decade-long career, multi-platinum artists Buckcherry have established themselves as a definitive hard rock band with a massive presence at radio.  Hits such as “Lit Up,” “Crazy Bitch,” and “Sorry” have propelled the band’s sales to more than 3 million albums worldwide and have garnered Buckcherry two Grammy nominations.  2008′s BLACK BUTTERFLY was deemed the “Album Of The Year” by Entertainment Weekly and “Best Rock Album” by iTunes.

Thee Oh Sees Announce US Fall Tour Dates

Category: On Tour · 0

The ridiculously prolific Bay Area band Thee Oh Sees are back with another full-length long-player. Warm Slime is guaranteed to please fans of their whacked-out garage /  psych / punk jams.
Recorded by Sacramento sultan of sound Chris Woodhouse, Warm Slime carries on in the same tradition as the group’s previous In The Red release, Help, showcasing their  more electrified and rocking side, in comparison to other recent home-recorded releases. The centerpiece is undoubtedly the mind-bending title track, which clocks in at  nearly 14 minutes and takes up the entirety of the album’s first side. It’s a psychedelic epic of “Inna Gadda Da Vida” proportions! John Dwyer’s guitar playing is at its quadra- spazzed best here, and the vocal interplay with Brigid Dawson gives it an X-crossed-with-the-Troggs vibe. The results are stunning.

Mumiy
Troll are superstars in their native Russia, and audiences across North
America will see why when the Vladivostok and Moscow-based foursome,
whose ‘Polar Bear’ EP is out now, kick off their 24 dates North American
tour on August 11 at the Black Cat in Washington, DC. What do they
sound like? That’s apparently in the ear of the listener – the band is
widely praised, but comparisons vary.

need to be able to read Cyrillic to understand this Russian band — a
fluency in groovy post-punk and edgy guitar rock is all that’s
