AC/DC getting it’s own soundtrack for Iron Man 2

ACDC-Iron Man 2

It was announced today that in conjunction with the new movie Iron Man 2, that a “unique collaboration between Marvel Studios and Columbia Records” AC/DC will be featured prominently in the movie, as well as getting their own Iron Man 2 branded soundtrack for the movie. AC/DC: Iron Man 2 will be released on April 19, 2010, and feature 15 classic AC/DC tracks from the bands history, covering all studio albums between 1976-2008.

Pre-orders are available now from both Amazon and Walmart in three different versions:

The Amazon version is available as either a CD/DVD collection or as a two vinyl set. The Walmart version is just CD only.

To go along with today’s announcement is the debut of a video for the collection of the AC/DC classic “Shoot To Thrill”. The video features footage of AC/DC’s performance in Buenos Aires during their recent Black Ice tour. Check out the video below:

Joe Perry Project Release Date for “Have Guitar Will Travel”

According to Dean Goodman from Reuters, Joe Perry has set the title of his new CD as “Have Guitar Will Travel”, which he hopes will be out in November.
In what is even better news, Perry, who sings on four of the tracks, also expects to tour early next year under the guise of the Joe Perry Project.
His first three solo albums, all credited to the Joe Perry Project, were released in the early 1980s when he briefly quit Aerosmith during the most drug fueled time of the band’s carreer.

DEAR LANDLORD have leaked the song Landlocked from their upcoming debut album, Dream Homes, for No Idea Records. You and find the new song as well as three other previously leaked tracks streaming on the bands myspace page.
Dream Homes will be released on June 30th on LP/CD. To celebrate No Idea Records is giving away a bonus 7 featuring exclusive unreleased material with hand screened covers. This 7 will only be available to people who pre-order the LP before June 15th.
The band is also heading out on the road this summer to support the new album. The first run they will head to Insubordination Fest with their better looking kissin cousins, The Copyrights. The second summer fun run they will be joined by black sheep of this Midwest inbreed beast of rock, Off With Their Heads.
DEAR LANDLORD consists of Zack (Guitar/Vocals) and Brad (Drums/Words) who were in RIVITHEAD. Zack also plays in HOUSE BOAT and OFF WITH THEIR HEADS. Brett (Bass/Vocals) and Adam (Guitar/Vocals) play in THE COPYRIGHTS. Brad also plays in THE GATEWAY DISTRICT and THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS.
