Tommy Lee Burns Hand, Out For Several Crue Fest Shows.
Sometimes you just can’t take the little boy out of the man.
Tommy Lee is out for several shows on the current Crue Fest tour because of burns to his hand. Lee was playing with some sparklers and ended up burning his left hand.
For the last five shows that started on August 14th, Morgan Rose of Sevendust was filling in for Lee. For the next three shows starting on August 21st, Lee will be replaced by Frank Zummo of Street Drum Corp.
Lee for his part is still trying to stay involved. He is coming on stage at the shows to explain to the crowd why he isn’t playing. He interacts during several songs, and does still play piano on “Home Sweet Home.”
In a posting to MySpace, Nikki Sixx wrote the following:
“…accidents do happen and, yes, frustration does happen to everybody, including Tommy, who would rather play drums (even with a damaged hand) than just about anything in the whole world. But following doctor’s orders for a few shows is what we have to (do) right now (or cancel shows). We all wanna say we’re sorry Tommy has to sit out a couple shows, but we hope to have him back up on the drums ASAP.”
As of right now, there is no scheduled time for when Lee will return to the drum kit.

I was really dissapointed by the fact that i didnt get to see tommy play. The radio hadnt mentioned the fact that he wasnt playing. I was dissapointed by the other guy filling in, as a drummer myself the guy wasnt close on some of the songs, i felt robbed for a hundred dollar ticket. I could have played them better than he did, i been a drummer as longt as MOTLEY is old and i would have hit every beat, girls girls girls breakdown was completely out of time. Try it again bro you missed the mark!!!!!!!
